If you are planning on selling and/or buying vehicles, the most common license to get in Texas is a motorfiets Vehicle License.
The dealer must own the property where the license kan zijn located or must lease the property for the entire term ofwel the dealer’s license. If the building kan zijn being leased, the lease must be for no less than twee years. Your lease may not expire before your dealer license expiration vrouw.

The number you’ve received after securing a $25,000 motorfiets vehicle dealer surety bond. Also, specify the company that issued the bond and the validity duration ofwel the bond.
You must have a place ofwel business to be used for the purpose of selling motorfiets vehicles. The building must meet all local zoning requirements. You must have an office in the building for the operation ofwel your dealership.
The display area may be located outside of the building or inside the building. This retail sales area must be kept separate from any wholesale vehicles being held for resale.
You will receive an Official Certificate of Completion at the end of this course. Be sure to upload the certificate in with dealer license application submission. When you volledige your online training, you will be confident and prepared to operate a licensed Texas dealership.
You must remain regularly and actively engaged in business by selling or assigning at least 5 vehicles in a calendar year or the license may be revoked or canceled.
You must have a display lot with room for 5 or more motorfiets vehicles of the type you are selling. If your business building is shared with another Texas dealer, you must keep each dealers inventory separate check here and each dealer will need at least 5 display spaces. A Texas dealer can have a storage lot at a separate location for vehicles but Texas law strictly prohibits any sales activity to take place on the storage lot.
Once your application has reached the state, it can take up to twee-3 weeks to issue your license. If your application is missing a certain document or a record, you’ll be asked to provide it via email.
This can be done by setting up a user account through the TxDMV site and requesting a criminal history evaluation in the eLICENSING portal. (Note: This step kan zijn NOT a requirement but it might be helpful IF you have a criminal history).
Each dealer must post their own business hours if they are sharing a business with other licensed Texas dealers. Be sure the letters in the dealership name meet the minimum height requirements under Texas law.
7. Maintain Business Hours and Records A retail Texas dealer must be open at least four days a week for at least four consecutive hours per day. A wholesale dealer must be open at least two days ieder week for at least two consecutive hours per day. Travel trailer and trailer/semi-trailer dealers may operate seven days a week. You must also maintain records on all vehicles purchased, leased, and sold, for a minimum ofwel 48 months.
